Miss Angie Klevorn has been a part of Charmette Academy of Dance & Acrobatics inc. for over 50 years. Her passion for dance started at the age of five and has never left. She has been Teacher, Co-Owner and Director for the past 26 years. She received her Bachelor Degree in Education from Webster University. She grew up as a Charmette Juniorette and the St Charles Civic Ballet Company. She is a 35 + year member of Dance Masters of America. She is Co-Director and Choreographer for Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company that performs and competes regionally and nationally. Her students have appeared on Broadway, television, Disney, Las Vegas, Cruise Ships, Gus Giordano, pop star tours and college dance teams.
Miss Angie continues her education and love of dance as a judge for regional and national dance competitions throughout the United States. When Miss Angie isn’t teaching she can be found at her family owned business, Award Specialties in Kimmswick. Her mother started the Award Specialties in 1982 and since 2013; Miss Angie has been proud to run the family-owned business with her brother and carry on the family name in the award business. Award Specialties supplies plaques, trophies, crystal, acrylics, corporate awards and promotional items.
Miss Angie is most proud of her family. She has been married to her husband Russ for more than 27 years and they are the proud parents of their daughters, Danielle and Chloe. Both girls grew up at Charmette as dancers and competed in the Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company, as well as assistant teachers. Danielle graduated from Missouri State University where she was a member of the Sugar Bear Dance Team. Miss Angie is thrilled to work alongside Danielle who is now an assistant director at Charmette. Following in Danielle's footsteps, Chloe is currently a senior at MSU and a member of the Sugar Bear Dance Team.
