MAKE-UP

Foundation:  Please match to your daughter’s skin tone, make it go all over the face to hair line, down past the jaw/neck line and blend in.  Powder works best for younger girls

Blush:  Any Pinks up cheekbone to hair then forehead, nose & chin

Lipstick:  Mary Kay red with NEW Iconic Red lipgloss

Eyeshadow:  Lower Lid: Mary Kay Light Brown, Crease: Mary Kay Navy Blue Only 1⁄2 way from center and out to corner Upper Lid: Mary Kay Cream Eye

Eye Liner: Black on upper/lower – corner to corner

Mascara: Black on top and bottom lashes.  For younger kiddos, having them squint and them move brush along the lashes works well.  We suggest waterproof mascara as well.

Eyelashes:

  • Beginner IV, Intermediate I- II: Kiss Brand “Looks So Natural Shy” - Ulta Beauty has these online at ulta.com or in stores.

  • Intermediate III - V & Advanced: Kiss brand “Pompadour Blowout Lash” Ulta Beauty has these online at ulta.com or in stores. The eyelashes can also be FOUND at Walgreens, Amazon or Ebay as well so don’t fret if they are not in ulta stores or on-line.

Tips for applying eyelashes:

  • If necessary, trim the band to fit the width of your eye.

  • Put bead of glue all the way across lashes.

  • Then, take the strip of lashes and glide the glue from one end of the band to the other. Gently place the lashes, starting at the outer corner, to close to your lash line. Some use tweezers, find what’s best for YOU

  • Press down across the length of the strip to secure the lashes.

  • NOTE: allow the lashes to dry for a little bit before applying make-up. i.e. Put lashes on and then do hair and go back to make-up. They stay on so much better

  • Please put the eyelash glue on FIRST and let it dry a little before applying the lashes.  Eyeliner and mascara are applied AFTER the eyelashes, top & bottom.

BUNS

Middle part, all the way to back of head.  Swoop hair down by ears and then to a ponytail to the middle of the back of head, where knot is center of the head.  Use matching hair pins to secure bun as you twist into bun shape.  You must push hard against the head to keep it tight.  NEXT is the hair net, color of your daughter’s hair.  Wrap it around as many times as you can, not just laying it once on there. Use NUMREROUS hair pins AGAIN to secure the hair net to the bun and against the head.  You will need a lot of hair spray for NO WISPIES!!
